Some people run, some people sky dive...

When you register to race the 2nd Annual Spinal Cord Injury (SCI) Awareness 5K, you will help support programs like the SCI Life Challenge at Mount Sinai Hospital.

In high-level adventure trips that include activities like sky diving, snow skiing, water skiing, white water rafting and paragliding, participants with spinal cord injuries, along with family members and friends, face obstacles together. Through problem solving and teamwork comes a realization: “If I can do this, I can do anything”.

Since its inception in 2003, over 36 Life Challenge Trips have taken place, involving 246 people with SCI.  For more information on this innovative program, call Jim Cesario, Spinal Cord Injury Program Outreach Coordinator at Mount Sinai Department of Rehabilitation Medicine - phone 212-824-8369 or email james.cesario@mountsinai.org.

Sign-up to run, walk or roll today and help bring awareness to spinal cord injury and paralysis.
